Multi-Frequency Modular Software Defined Radio

MWSE space qualified SDR is a multipurpose flexible software defined radio for passive remote sensing applications: L-band radiometry, GNSS-Reflectometry and Radio Ocultations. The system can be also used as On-Board Payload Computer thanks to its Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ Multi Processor System on Chip.

Main performances

  • Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+
    • 4 GB DDR4 SDRAM
    • ARM® dual-/quad-core Cortex™-A53 (64 bit, up to 1500 MHz)
    • ARM dual-core Cortex™-R5 (32 bit, up to 600 MHz)
    • Mali-400MP2 GPU
    • 742660 Logic elements
  • Radio-frequency
    • Frequency range and bandwidth tailored to application
  • PC104 standard compatible

Radio-Frequency Front-Ends

MWSE develops dedicated radio frequency front ends for space applications. Its first flight heritage was achieved by the FSSCat mission on 2018. Since that first flight heritage, other front-ends have been developed.
